How Is the Attitude Toward Russian Speakers Living in Lithuania Changing?

The results of the 2022 survey of Lithuanian residents’ attitudes toward ethnic and religious groups and media monitoring conducted by “Diversity Development Group,” the Ethnic Research Department of the Institute of Sociology at the Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences, and “Media4change” showed public solidarity and openness in accepting war refugees from Ukraine, but they also revealed worrying trends related to attitudes toward some of Lithuania’s national minorities.

We are talking with the Director of the Department of National Minorities, Dr. Vida Montvydaitė, and Aidas Petrošius, a representative of the media monitoring company “Mediaskopas.”
