If last year the President Gitanas Nausėda’s annual address was dominated by defense, security, and geopolitics, this year the main keyword became resilience, according to an analysis by the information landscape research company Mediaskopas. In addition, as the analysis of the head of state’s speech showed, there was also criticism of opponents and polemical remarks.
“In this year’s address, security remains one of the most important topics, but it is understood much more broadly – as the ability of the state, institutions, and society to withstand both external and internal challenges,” said Vilnė Kairienė, data strategist at Mediaskopas.
