The incident recorded in the middle of the week, when a drone reportedly flew into Lithuania and an air alert was announced for the first time since the restoration of independence, attracted the attention of the world media. While headlines in Russia and Belarus focused on alleged “hysteria,” “chaos,” and “NATO helplessness,” Western media reflected concern over the growing threat in the region and blamed the Kremlin.
As shown by the analysis conducted by the media research company Mediaskopas, the event of May 20 crossed Lithuania’s borders within a few hours and caught the attention of the global information space.
