The Seimas elections and the formation of the governing coalition attracted particularly strong attention from foreign media. According to data from the media monitoring and research company Mediaskopas, since the beginning of October the surname of Remigijus Žemaitaitis, the leader of Nemuno Aušra, who violated the Constitution with antisemitic statements, was mentioned 1,009 times on foreign news portals. That is 3,109% more than in the previous months.
