According to Mediaskopas data, the country’s major cities were not only mentioned more often, but also communicated much more actively themselves. 
“Mentions of Vilnius and Kaunas in a tourism context accounted for about 25 percent of all reports published this summer. Mentions of the country’s capital increased by 108 percent compared with last year, while mentions of Kaunas grew by 76 percent. Meanwhile, the number of mentions of Palanga and Neringa fell by 10 percent this summer,” Mediaskopas analyst Agnė Kavaliauskaitė comments on the data
