Data show that the alternative Georgian name Sakartvelo is gradually taking hold in the Lithuanian media, according to information that the news agency BNS received from the media analysis and research company “Mediaskopas.”
From June 2018 to July 2019, the name Sakartvelo accounted for 26% of all mentions of the country, and from July 2019 to this July — nearly 44%.
