Media experts answered how not to give in to the fear shaped by the (dis)information flow

Compared with the beginning of the pandemic, when the record volume of information reaching us was recorded for the first time, this amount is today twice as high. Processing such a volume of news at once and maintaining critical thinking is no longer possible, and that is before even considering disinformation, fake news, and propaganda “bubbles” on social media that fuel anxiety and sow panic. How can we learn to select information and not get lost in such an intense flow of news and events? In the podcast “Berta&Talks,” these questions are answered by the head of the media monitoring and analysis company “Mediaskopas,” Jūratė Stankuvienė, and the editor and director of the news portal “Lrytas.lt,” Tautvydas Mikalajūnas.
